Children should be seen and not heard
I call you bad, my little child, for bad children we shall meet.
For life is hard, my little child, even for those who are sweet.
And work you must to stay alive
coal mines, factories even though you're only five.
And children should only speak when they are spoken to and not before.
Miss Strict will commence lessons in Victorian children at play, children at school and children at work. Pupils will be prompt and shall explore these lives fully.
- Storytelling and songs using Cautionary Tales
- Recreating a Victorian school
- Exploring a Victorian workhouse
This links in perfectly with the History curriculum
